Files
Files help XY work with the same documents and reference materials your team already uses. They are often the bridge between human process knowledge and day-to-day automation.
How files are added
- Direct upload: Drop files into the Files section to make them available to workflows immediately.
- Storage sync: Connect supported storage sources such as Google Drive or OneDrive so XY can work from the folders your team already uses.
What files can be used for
- Agent context: Attach files to workflows so Agents can follow your policies and templates instead of relying on generic answers.
- Knowledge Base workflows: Use trusted files and folders as the source of truth for question answering and guided work.
- Workflow input: Use files as the starting point for data extraction, review, and downstream automation.
Format flexibility
Most common business document types are a good fit, including PDFs, images, documents, and spreadsheets.
Practical examples
- policy documents used by a knowledge-base workflow
- uploaded referral or intake documents
- spreadsheets used as reference or operational input
- synced folders that act as a shared source for ongoing work
