Files
Files give agents the supporting context they need to work accurately: SOPs, training materials, policies, contracts, payer playbooks, spreadsheets, and other reference content that guides decisions and actions.
How files are added
- Direct upload: Drop files into the Files section to make them available to workflows immediately.
- Storage sync: Select folders or files from connected storage integrations (Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.) to keep source documents in sync without re-uploading.
What files can be used for
- Agent context: Attach files to workflows so Agents can follow your policies and templates instead of relying on generic answers.
- Knowledge Base Agent workflows: Point the Knowledge Base Agent at specific files or folders so teams can “chat with their files” via the XY Assistant, the Browser Agent, or your own apps through the API/SDK.
Format flexibility
Most file types are supported, including documents, PDFs, images, and spreadsheets. XY handles complex cases like multi-tab spreadsheets and structured tables—beyond what typical LLM-only solutions (e.g., ChatGPT) can reliably process.
