eClinicalWorks Integration

Update eClinicalWorks charts, referrals, and claims the moment XY captures new intake, referral, or payer data.

Overview​

The eClinicalWorks integration connects XY to your eClinicalWorks EHR system (website only), enabling workflows and agents to access and update patient charts, referrals, and claims. This integration supports real-time updates to keep clinical data synchronized.

Authentication & Setup​

  1. Navigate to the Integrations section in the XY Web App
  2. Select eClinicalWorks from the integration directory
  3. Click "Connect" and complete the eClinicalWorks authentication flow
  4. Grant XY the necessary permissions to access your eClinicalWorks account
  5. Configure which data types and endpoints XY should access

Post-Authentication Configuration​

After connecting, configure:

  • Data Access Scope: Select which types of data XY can access (charts, referrals, claims, patient data)
  • Sync Frequency: Set how often XY should sync data with eClinicalWorks
  • Capability Settings: Enable or disable specific read/write operations
  • Practice Selection: If multiple practices, select which ones XY should access

  • Get Patient: Retrieve patient demographic and medical information
  • List Patients: Search and retrieve patient records
  • Get Chart: Retrieve patient chart and clinical documentation
  • Get Referral: Retrieve referral details and status
  • List Referrals: Query referrals by type, status, or patient
  • Get Claim: Retrieve claim details and status
  • List Claims: Query claims by status, payer, or date range
  • Get Intake Data: Retrieve patient intake information

Write Operations​

  • Update Chart: Modify patient charts and clinical documentation
  • Create Referral: Create new referrals
  • Update Referral: Modify existing referrals
  • Update Claim: Modify claim information
  • Update Intake Data: Update patient intake information
  • Update Payer Data: Modify patient insurance and payer information

Configuration​

  • Set Sync Frequency: Configure how often to sync data with eClinicalWorks
  • Manage Data Access: Enable or disable access to specific data types
  • Configure Capabilities: Control which read/write operations are available
  • Practice Settings: Configure access to multiple practices if applicable
